Attendance and messages about student absences

Research tells us that students who attend school regularly and on time have more positive educational outcomes. Please do your utmost to ensure that children arrive at school by 8:50am each day. When they are absent it is important that you advise the school promptly. You can do this sending a text to 0407 229 560, via tiqbiz (there is an ‘absence’ button on the ‘Whole School’ page) or phoning the office on 5996 2878.

Communication

The school regularly provides parents and carers with important information about activities, events and issues relating to your children’s education. This communication is provided via the newsletter, notices sent home and messages sent via tiqbiz or our facebook page.

On occasion we have parents say to us that they have not received information about an event or activity. We ask that you take appropriate steps to ensure that you can access this information, for example, if your child is not reliably bringing notices home, you can ensure you know what’s going on by regularly checking tiqbiz (you can download the tiqbiz app) and/or facebook (our address is www.facebook.com/groups/233365300010782), as we put copies of notices on these forums. You can also ask to be added to the newsletter distribution list by sending an email to condie.briony.j@edumail.vic.gov.au

School Camps

Tomorrow our first group of students leave for school camp. We know that all of our students will have a good time and will represent their families and school with pride by demonstrating our school values whilst on camp. Please assist your child to pack everything they will need, particularly some warm clothing and to label all items. Also, please ensure that they arrive at school in plenty of time to be signed in before the bus departure time.
