At the start of the year I like to send out a list of reminders to all our parents to make your child’s time at school happy and productive.
Personal property is often brought to school by students, staff and visitors. This can include mobile phones, electronic games, calculators, toys, musical instruments and sporting equipment. Cars that are parked on school property are included as well. The Department of Education and Training does not hold insurance for personal property brought to school and has no capacity to pay for any loss or damage to such property.
MEDICAL TREATMENT: PARENTS
Parents are responsible for the cost of any medical treatment for injured children including any transportation costs. We recommend that you take out AMBULANCE membership each year.
Parents and visitors are reminded in the interest of cyber safety and current privacy laws, students are not permitted to be photographed or videoed on the school property without the permission of the Principal. Parents are welcome to take photographs or videos of their children at all school events.
PRIVACY: SCHOOL COMMUNITY
There is an expectation that all members of the school community respect the rights of others by not posting or distributing photographs or videos that include other community members without their express permission or consent. Parents are welcome to take photographs or videos at all school events.
We are in a busy and vibrant neighbourhood where there is lots of traffic. Students are expected to use the school crossings at all times.
STAFF CAR PARK
The staff car park is OUT OF BOUNDS for parents. We also request that the car park driveway is not used for turning around as this causes a risk for our children.
School starts at 9.00am. Please make sure that your children are at school on time. We finish at 3.15 pm. Please make sure that a family member is at school to collect children on time. It is very distressing for your children when you are late.
SCHOOL COUNCIL ELECTIONS
The school council election process has commenced. Please see Sheryl Lucas at school if you are interested.
