Royal Botanic Gardens

This term we have been very fortunate to enter into a partnership with the Royal Botanic Gardens. Last week we took four Senior Classes to the Cranbourne gardens to experience nature with an Indigenous poet, Kirli and to practise writing poems of their own. The students also took a long walk around the gar-dens and made a Mandala out of natural items to express their feelings about their visit.

For the remainder of Term 3, we will be working with Ellen Regos from the Botanic Gardens to design and develop our own Sensory Garden at school. This seven week program will involve four Middle Classes, plus their teachers, Grandpa Bob and any interested parent or family volunteers who will engage in a range of numeracy, design, earth science and sustainability activities.

Sessions will run on Mondays between 11:30am and 1:30pm. If you are interested in participating in this program, please contact Debbie Dodd at school or on 0409 419 306 or via email
