Chaplaincy Program

Chaplaincy Program at Cranbourne West Primary School

After a brilliant start in 2012, the Chaplaincy Program is now in it’s fifth year. This program is funded under the National Schools Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Initiative to provide two days per week of support for our student well-being programs until the end of 2017.

Our Chaplains are currently undergoing some changes and information will be updated soon.

The Chaplaincy Program will include:

Building positive relationships with students and providing support when needed.  Working closely with school staff and services to nurture and care for students and develop preventative programs that will safeguard our kids as they grow. If you have any questions about the program, you can contact the Chaplains directly on their mobile or through the school office on the days that they attend the school.

Programs currently running include:

  • Individual social-emotional mentoring
  • Group programs to develop social skills, friendships and conflict resolution
  • Supported playgroup
  • Grade six youth group

This project was funded by the Australian Government Department of Education under the National School Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program.

Should you prefer that your child not participate in the Chaplaincy Program please read the '2014 Introduction to Chaplaincy Program' document an complete the section at the bottom then return this to the school office.
